Welcome to the inaugural issue of CAVEAT.
The idea behind this newsletter is to encourage communication and co-operation between relevant groups and agencies having an interest in promoting Crime Prevention and Community Safety Initiatives throughout our area. For a number of valid (security) reasons [not least avoiding being classified as "spam"] future editions will be forwarded purely on an 'Opt-in' basis - with subscription being free. Details at the end of this edition.

OVERVIEW
Since this is the first issue, and we'd like to give you an idea of what our aims and objectives are, a few 'old' articles are included. These came from an East Kilbride Community Council inspired Newletter and are still relevant today. In reality, nothing is "new" In addition, this link will take you to our - currently under construction - website

As a volunteer led organisation, currently exploring avenues of outside funding, we will be actively seeking sponsorship from local business, whilst, at the same time, applying for charity status.
