Community Council - New Session
Wednesday February 5: First meeting of the current year.
With a pretty full agenda this, the first meeting of the current session, covered a number of areas with a variety of tasks being delegated for reporting at the next meeting.
CONCERN
A recent spate of domestic break-ins were brought to the attention of CCC, with Long Calderwood and Maxwellton apparently the worst affected with the early part of the morning being the 'prime' time.
See Godfrey's Guide - it could be very relevant.
"PAVVY PROBLEMS"

Anyone remember the halcyon days of "The Pavvy"? At one time this building was the 'centre of the universe' for Long Calderwood kids - and parents! Not anymore.
Recently the people who now run the Play Centre have been subjected to all sorts of abuse and threats. On one occasion they even witnessed their rubbish bins being set alight. Whilst looking at a variety of measures to bolster security it is their intention to soldier on.

HEALTHY LIVING
Suppose it goes without saying that, what with the [alleged] excesses of the festive season, now is a good time to launch a Healthy Living Campaign.
Actually visited the site, took the quiz, ordered the information and received the pack next day
