FRANK TAKEN TO THE 'CLEANERS'
THE MAGDALENE SISTERS
'Premiere' Night invite for INCA Survivors.
Frank Docherty talks to Jay Effdee
Sunday February 15 - a date I'll remember for a very long time.
Peter Mullan, the films Writer and Director, and a staunch supporter of INCAS, was instrumental in ensuring that 5 sets of tickets were made available for survivors of in care abuse.
Our group came from near and far.
Generally speaking the picture was well received by our group with the consensus being; it was good, factual and thought provoking.
Suffice to say, the ladies in our group were visibly moved - or mayhaps the guys just hid it better!
In keeping with comments made after premieres in Ireland and Italy it was intimated here, also, that though harrowing in part it was less so than the reality!
Frank tells me; "As there were a lot of Press around I thought I'd just hand out a few releases about the Informal Gathering".
Another plus was the publication, next day, of stories involving two of our invited group.

IF YOU HAVE NOT CONTACTED YOUR MSP / MP - DO IT NOW
In an effort to prevent the recent "1964 Cut-Off" ruling - described by Marilyn Livingstone, MSP as "arbitrary" - being upheld in the Court of Session we ask supporters to write their MSP / MP asking him/her to contact Jim Wallace, MSP - Justice Minister - to overturn or amend the ruling.
Upholding of same in the Court of Session would ensure real discrimination towards clients
