March 11, Meeting.
(For security reasons Land Force 3 members will be referred to simply as Tpr A and Tpr B)

Stewartfield Community Council hosted this meeting - the aim being to ensure that residents did not experience the 'Plague' again this year.
In addition to Land Force 3, SEPA and SLC were represented - Messrs. Wilmot & Hammond and Cllrs M.McCann and C.Hughes respectively.

Again Mr. Wilmot denied the possibility of the flies coming from the Landfill site, insisting that the site is 'properly maintained' and all measures were being taken to ensure that flies would not be coming from the site.
He went on; "The rubbish dumped is treated with insecticide and covered with a hessian type mesh, every evening."

This he reaffirmed two more times.
Tpr A asked, again, that he confirm the rubbish was covered and treated every night. He replied in the affirmative.
At this point photographs, taken the previous day, after the site had closed, were produced.
These showed clearly that there was, in fact, no cover on the rubbish. SEPA requested that they be allowed to retain the photographs with a view to answering the obvious question.
This was agreed.
At time of writing no further communication had been received.

Unconfirmed report just received that a Land Force trooper [recently returned from the U.S.] supplied "Dubya" with the co-ordinates of the Landfill site initimating that it was adjacent to Baghdad - is being checked out.

Take a trip to Tuttle Hill for an interesting report from south of the border.
